Congratulations on your pregnancy, so the next big question is when’s the baby due? Our calculator can give you an estimated date if you fill in the details below. Remember, babies rarely keep to an exact timetable, so a full-term pregnancy can be anywhere between 37 and 42 weeks.
6 weeks after the birth of your baby, you will be scheduled in to see either Dr Cerqui or Dr Homar for your 6 week postnatal visit. During this visit you will be asked to complete a postnatal screen for risk factors for depression/anxiety.
Please do not hesitate to contact the rooms when you are back at home and you are experiencing difficulties related to breastfeeding.
What is Cord Blood?
Cord blood is the blood located in your baby’s umbilical cord. It contains cells called Stem Cells that can grow into organs, tissues and blood vessels. Stem Cells are specialised cells that are used to treat dozens of diseases. Your baby’s cord blood can be collected at birth and stored for future use.
